Harmac Pacific Mill to Automate Its Operations Using Trimble’s Connected Forest™ LIMS Solution
Trimble is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Nanaimo Forest Products Ltd to implement its LIMS solution at Harmac Pacific’s Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft (NBSK) pulp mill located on Vancouver Island, near Nanaimo, BC.
Harmac Pacific mill will be implementing several of Trimble’s Connected Forest products, including LIMS, BoomWiz, WeighWiz and LabWiz, to help automate its operations.

Harmac Pacific operates a Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft (NBSK) pulp mill located on the east coast of Vancouver Island near Nanaimo, British Columbia. Nanaimo Forest Products Ltd. (NFP), the owner of the Harmac Pacific trademark, restarted the mill on October 3, 2008, The Harmac mill produces high quality Kraft pulps made from custom blends of Douglas fir, western hemlock, balsam fir, interior SPF and western red cedar. The pulp is sold in Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America .
